This study presents a high-fidelity and high-efficiency digital class-D audio power amplifier (CDA), which consists of analog modules. To realize compatible input, fully digital-to-analog converter (DAC) is implemented on MATLAB Xilinx System Generator, 16x interpolation filter, fourth-order four-bit quantized delta-sigma (ΔΣ) modulator, uniform-sampling pulse width modulator. The CDA utilizes the closed-loop negative feedback loop-filtering technologies to minimize distortion. DAC, based field-programmable gate array, consumes 0.128 W uses 7100 LUTs, achieves 11.2% resource utilization rate. module fabricated in 0.18 µm BCD technology. postlayout simulation results show that delivers an output 1 with 93.3% efficiency 4 Ω speaker 0.0138% total harmonic distortion (THD) transient noise for kHz input sinusoidal test tone 3.6 V supply. reaches up 2.73 1% THD (with noise). proposed occupies active area mm2.
